Logitech's G Cloud gaming handheld launches in Europe

Following a US launch late last year Logitech's cloud-centric handheld is coming to Europe later this month.

Back in September of last year, technology firm Logitech announced their foray into the handheld gaming market with a new cloud-centric device dubbed the 'G Cloud'. This Android-powered portable first launched in North America late last year, but is now gearing up for a wider launch across Europe.

The Logitech G Cloud will be made available in select European markets from May 22, at a suggested €359 price point.

The 7-inch handheld will be available to purchase in Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, and Sweden. It will also be available in the UK for a suggested £329.

Logitech are celebrating this European launch by offfering a special bundle to early adopters — cheifly, those who buy a G Cloud handheld before the end of June (the 22nd to be precise) will get six months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (which includes Xbox's Cloud Gaming service), a month of NVIDIA GeForce NOW, and a month's access to the Shadow PC cloud computing service.

Ujesh Desai, the vice president and general manager over at Logitech G, said the following regarding the upcoming launch:

“G Cloud provides a fantastic new way to access and play hundreds of games, and we look forward to getting it in the hands of more players.”

Logitech also explained that since the handheld's debut back in October of 2022, they have added several new features following player feedback. These include:

The ability to customise the analog stick sensitivity;
Dead zone customisation;
...and virtual button mapping.

This Android-powered gaming handheld is just one of a growing number of Steam Deck alternatives that have come to market in the past year.

When the Logitech G Cloud first launched the initial reviews were fairly mixed — with several questions raised about the device's overall positioning as a cloud-first offering and its bold price point.
