PlayStation hosted their first 'State of Play' digital presentation of the year, specifically showcasing a handful of new PSVR 2 titles, and a closer look at Suicide Squad.

Earlier today PlayStation hosted their first 'State of Play' digital presentation of the year, specifically showcasing a handful of new PSVR 2 titles, and a closer look at Suicide Squad.

In the roughly 45 minute showcase we saw a slate of new announcements, including Suicide Squad, Baldur's Gate 3, and Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Here's a run-through of all the big reveals that you need to know about.

As you may expect, considering the PSVR 2 launched only yesterday, things kicked off with a look at a range of upcoming virtual reality titles — the first of which was The Foglands.

The Foglands

It's an atmospheric roguelike adventure game due for release later this year. You'll have to "run into the unknown, fight monsters, scavenge loot, and try to make it back before you are swallowed by the fog". It's coming to both the PSVR2 and Quest 2.

Green Hell VR

A VR survival game set in the Amazon rainforest.

Synapse

Synapse is an all new reveal from nDreams. It's a next-gen action shooter that's coming exclusively to PSVR2 later in 2023.

"Combine brutal firepower with surging telekinetic abilities as you dive into a hostile mindscape. Dual-wield this lethal combination as you launch, levitate, and smash your enemies through destructible environments."

Journey to Foundation

This one, based on Isaac Asimov's sci-fi epic, is due to his PS5 in the fall. In it you play as a galactic spymaster that's "sent to infiltrate a group of defectors, only to uncover a dire truth that could change the course of their mission… and history". Out in Autumn

Before Your Eyes

A critically acclaimed title, Before Your Eyes uses the PSVR 2's built-in cameras to advance the game while you're blinking. Out on March 10th.

Destiny 2: Lightfall

Bungie's next expansion for Destiny 2 is launching next week, so we got another look before the launch on February 28th.

Tchia

Tchia is a colourful exploration game, filled with puzzles. It's launching on March 21st and will be on PlayStation Plus.

PS+ Games coming in March

While we're on the topic of PS+, Battlefield 2024, Minecraft: Dungeons, and Codevein will be the PlayStation Plus games for March.

Humanity

A weird, although intriguing looking action-puzzle game by Enhance, makers of Tetris Effect and Rez Infinite. It will launch in May 2023, and also come to PC.

Goodbye Volcano High

An adventure meets rhythm game, by KO_OP, launching on June 15

Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storms Connections

It looks like Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storms Connections will bring all 124 characters of the earlier games in the series into one game while adding some new ones to the roster.

Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur's Gate 3, currently in open beta on PC, will come to console with a PS5 release on August 31st.

Wayfinder

An online multiplayer game with an exclusive PS4/PS5 beta out on February 28th.

Street Fighter 6

This trailer showcased three new characters that will be part of the Street Fighter 6 roster; Zangief, Lily and Cammy. The game is coming on June 2.

Resident Evil 4 Remake

Out on March 24, with a demo coming soon, we got another look at the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

And to finish the State of Play, Rocksteady Studios gave us both a look at gameplay, and behind-the-scenes of the upcoming Suicide Squad. The game will release on May 26.
