AGI 2TB microSD XC card

Taiwanese memory maker AGI announce a new high-capacity microSD Xc card of 2TB, claiming it to be the 'World's First'.

Late last year we shared news that a huge 2TB microSD card was on the way from KIOXIA — and now another manufacturer has joined the race, with Agile Gear International (AGI) announcing their new 2TB card.

AGI, a Taiwanese memory maker, recently updated their website with a splashy image claiming this new card to be the 'World's First' 2TB capacity microSD. I'm unsure if that claim is wholly accurate, as I can't find a working link to actually buy one of these cards just yet (at time of writing) — but either way, these ultra-large capacity cards are now on the immediate horizon. Exciting stuff — particularly if you like to hoard a load of games on your Steam Deck!

This new AGI card, dubbed the Supreme Pro TF138 microSD V30 / A2 (catchy, huh?), claims to have read speeds of up to 170MB a second, and write speeds of 160MB per second.

AGI's website mentions using this card in devices such as your smart phone, camera, drone or Nintendo Switch. Personally, this would make a pretty sweet companion to the Steam Deck or ROG Ally too I reckon.

The card is said to be in mass production now, but firm details on pricing and availability seem unclear at this point — but we will no doubt update you once these massive new SD cards are actually on the market.
