Is Microsoft working on an Xbox handheld? During IGN Live, Phil Spencer added more fuel to the fire.
"I think we should have a handheld. The future for us in hardware is pretty awesome, and the work that the team is doing around different form factors, different ways to play, I'm incredibly excited about. Today was about the games... but we will have a time to come out and talk more about platform, and we can't wait to bring it to you." — Phil Spencer
During a recent IGN Live interview (timestamped), Microsoft's Phil Spencer was asked about a potential (and long rumoured) Xbox handheld. Although he didn't outright confirm that Microsoft is working on one, that quote above is probably the clearest confirmation we're going to get before an official announcement or reveal.
One other very interesting tidbit: "I think being able to play games locally is really important." So, maybe don't expect a PlayStation Portal style, streaming only device here.
