PSVR2 Games - March 2023

Sony released their chart of the most sold PSVR2 games for the month of March, with Pavlov leading the way.

With the release of the PlayStation VR2 at the end of February, we now have the first whole month of PSVR2 chart rankings for North America and the EU.

Pavlov, a team-based VR Shooter, occupies the top spot in both regions, followed by The Dark Pictures: Switchback in the US/Canada and Kayak VR in Europe.

The complete ranking looks as follows:

US/Canada EU
Pavlov Pavlov
The Dark Pictures: Switchback Kayak VR: Mirage
Kayak VR: Mirage The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution
The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge
Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge Drums Rock
PISTOL WHIP PISTOL WHIP
Horizon Call of the Mountain Synth Riders
Swordsman VR Swordsman VR
Drums Rock Horizon Call of the Mountain
Job Simulator Job Simulator

However, these charts may not represent the complete picture, as they miss some key stats. For example, games bundled with the PSVR2 hardware – so Horizon Call of the Mountain – do not count towards this ranking, meaning that more people probably played Call of the Mountain.

It also does not consider pre-existing games that received VR support after their releases like Resident Evil Village or Gran Turismo 7 – with the latter being my favourite PSVR2 game so far.

There were many more games released in the launch period of the PSVR2, and I have been trying out some of the indie games in that launch list, which I will review here on overkill soon.
