Valve's portable PC is on sale with a new all time low price.
Valve is currently offering their entry-level Steam Deck for its cheapest price ever — meaning you can now grab the handheld PC for just under three hundred bucks.
This discount, part of Valve's summer sale, sees the LCD version of the popular portable reduced to just under $297. That's cheaper than the original model Nintendo Switch (which still sells at an MSRP of $299).
The 15 percent discount is available now until July 11th — meaning you have just over two weeks to snag the handheld at a roughly fifty dollar discount. This $297 model is the 64GB configuration. If you want to spend a bit more you can get the 512GB version of the Steam Deck for around $382. It's worth noting that the 512GB model also features the antiglare etched glass covering.
These discounts are only available on the LCD model, with Valve not offering any reductions on the newer OLED version. The Steam stores notes that "The 64GB and 512GB Steam Deck LCD models are being phased out, and will only be available while supplies last". So if you want a good entry point to all things Steam Deck, this is a good a time as ever — as the LCD model remains a more than capable portable PC.
