From September 15th to 18th, Valve will be at Tokyo Game Show to celebrate the launch of the Steam Deck in Asian countries — and it seems that people able to visit will be in for a real treat.
Valve created an enormous Steam Deck for the event as part of the decor that looks eerily close to the real thing.
(The tweet above says "2 days until Tokyo Game Show 2022!! Preparations are progressing steadily.", while the one below says "2 days until Tokyo Game Show 2022! A huge Steam Deck model has also been completed!")
They are also planning to show functioning prototypes of the different early design iterations of the Steam Deck. Some of these prototypes even seem to be working.
If you have the chance to visit the Tokyo Game Show and pass by Valve's booth, then these are the games you can test out on the Steam Deck (oh, and you can say hello to the new mascot too):
- ACE COMBAT 7: SKIES UNKNOWN
- Aperture Desk Job
- Apex Legends
- Core Keeper
- Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
- DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR'S CUT
- Devil May Cry 5
- ELDEN RING
- FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE
- Hades
- Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+
- Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
- Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered
- MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA
- No Man's Sky
- Persona 4 Golden
- PowerWash Simulator
- SCARLET NEXUS
- Sonic Origins
- Stardew Valley
- Stray
- Tales of Arise
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge
- Yakuza: Like a Dragon
All of the above games, except Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+, are verified on Steam Deck, so they will undoubtedly best represent the Deck's capabilities.
