The new handheld PC from Lenovo is now official, with a launch date set for October.
After a few weeks of rumours and leaks, Lenovo today officially confirmed their entry into the handheld gaming space with a new portable PC: The Lenovo Legion Go.
This new Windows-powered handheld is set to launch at some point next month in October, with a starting price of $699.
The Lenovo Legion Go is powered by an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme chip (same chip as the ROG Ally) with up to 16 GB of RAM, sports a sizeable 8.8-inch screen with a 2560 x 1600 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, and packs in a 49.2W battery.
This battery is bigger than the ones found in both the Steam Deck and ROG Ally — which, of course, adds a bit of weight. Though it supports fast charging to charge up to 70% in half an hour. And while plugged in, the Legion Go supports a power bypass mode, powering the device without degrading the battery for up to 25 watts.
You can get the device with up to 1 TB of storage, or install up to 2 TB yourself. It (thankfully) has two USB-C ports.
The new handheld also has detachable controllers with Hall Effect joysticks, making it something of a mix between the Nintendo Switch and the recently released ROG Ally. The right controller also functions as a mouse, including a mouse wheel, left and right mouse buttons and more.
You can find the Lenovo Legion Go on Best Buy.
Lenovo also announced their own AR glasses, called Legion Glasses, which are compatible with the Legion Go. They come equipped with two micro OLED screens, with a 1080p60 resolution per eye, and built-in speakers. They cost $329.
