The Nintendo Switch emulator Suyu might now be completely dead, after Discord nuked their servers.

Sean Hollister for The Verge:

Discord has shut down the Discord servers for the Nintendo Switch emulators Suyu and Sudachi and has completely disabled their lead developers’ accounts — and the company isn’t answering our questions about why it went that far.

What a wild ride for Suyu. After rising from the ashes of Yuzu, the Nintendo Switch emulator was later kicked from their GitLab page due to a DMCA request, only to return afterwards.

But now, the project might be completely dead. Not only did Discord delete their servers (and those of Sudachi, another emulator based on Yuzu's original code), but there have been some rumblings about infighting.

From a Pastebin shared by someone claiming to be a Suyu-dev:

First, I'm gonna explain what's going on with Suyu. As of today, the project, at least within the current developer team is no longer a thing.

The author of the Pastebin, kksowo, also mentioned that the dev team mentioned above will now work on something new that "might be related to emulation, [or] might not".

But it looks like Ryujinx is the emulator you want to use right now. Thankfully, we have a guide:

If you want to play your Nintendo Switch ROMs on Valve’s handheld, here is how to install and optimize Ryujinx for the Steam Deck.
