Putting a skin on your Steam Deck is one thing, but what about kicking things up a notch and adding custom buttons to your handheld? Well, now you can, thanks to new Deck Buttonsa range of custom buttons and D-Pad sets explicitly made for the Steam Deck.

The DIY replacement buttons, which launched today, come in a range of neat colour options, including the ever-rad Atomic Purple, an almost gummy-like Crimson Red, and a shiny Holographic set. There's even a special overkill edition!

The product comes via the same one-person team behind the TouchProtect vinyl skins for the Steam Deck trackpads, and are made from a strong and durable urethane resin, meaning they’ll withstand plenty of warp-speed planet jumping in Starfield.

For those concerned about opening up their Steam Deck, there’s a complete step-by-step installation guide here, and overkill’s Timo Schmidt has already had a go at installing them:

We also have them here at overkill HQ, so we can most definitely vouch for the quality. Just looking at them shows you, that these are made of great materials.

The sets start at around the $40 mark, but that's with a launch discount. We think pairing the atomic purple set with JSAUX’s matching transparent shell will be *chef's kiss*.

You can buy the buttons here, and the D-Pad here.
