One of the (optional) steps of the survey was to share your email address to get added to the newsletter. A giveaway was linked to that step — as we wanted to make it a bit more rewarding for people signing up. I am a privacy-conscious person (and I work as a data analyst in my day job), and I understand that data is valuable. Here is what that question looked like:

For next year, we will make this step much more straightforward and separate the giveaway from the newsletter to clarify that these are optional steps.
