The AYANEO AG01 is a new external graphics dock that's part of AYANEO's new Starship series — and yes, it's giving me Starfield vibes, too.
This new AG01 features an AMD mobile GPU (based on the RDNA 3 architecture) inside a metal housing and what AYANEO calls "powerful cooling fans, ensuring stable high-energy output".
But the AG01 is not simply an external GPU; it also functions as a dock. It will come with the following I/O:
- 2x DisplayPorts
- 2x HDMI Ports
- 1x OCuLink Port
- 1x USB-A Port
- 1x USB4 Port
- 1x Ethernet Port
- 1x SD card slot
- 1x internal SSD slot
The internal SSD slot takes full-sized M.2 2280 SSDs, allowing you to expand your installed game library whenever you plug in your handheld (or laptop) of choice.
It's expected that the AYANEO AG01 will come in two versions: a standard variant (so either in Nebula Red or Interstellar Gray) and what they call a "battle-damaged" limited edition, details of which are vague on that one, but it will apparently be based on player suggestions.
AYANEO has, unfortunately, not yet released any information regarding the price or release date for the AG01, but we will keep you posted.
