đź”— The Windows handheld gaming experience will change this year
Microsoft has plans to put an Xbox-like experience at the center of portable play.
Microsoft's Vice President of "Next Generation" Jason Ronald has been talking all things handheld.
At a recent CES event, Ronald talked about how the company is now looking to bring the "innovations that we’ve incubated and developed in the console space" over to PC and handheld gaming.
Windows on handheld gaming devices such as the ROG Ally X has always been less than perfect, with the OS failing to provide a stellar portable experience.
Speaking to The Verge on the matter, Ronald added:
"There’s fundamental interaction models that we’re working on to make sure that regardless of the operating system details it feels very natively like a gaming-centric device and a gaming-centric experience."
This 'Xbox-like' experience that Microsoft is working towards sounds like a positive change (and something long overdue) for those playing on a portable PC.
Still waiting on that Xbox handheld though....
