A recent Reddit AMA has confirmed that new 'hunting genre' game Wild Hearts won't be playable on Steam Deck at launch.
It's been confirmed that the upcoming action-adventure game Wild Hearts will not have Steam Deck support when it launches later this month.
The monster slaying game, developed by Koei Tecmo's Omega Force (of Dynasty Warriors fame) and published by EA, is set to arrive on February 17th for PS5, Xbox, and PC.
In a recent Reddit 'Ask Me Anything' (AMA) session, Lewis Harvey, Executive Producer at EA, was asked specifically if the upcoming title will be playable on Steam Deck.
Harvey responded by saying the game will not be supported on Valve's handheld at launch, but added that this is something he personally would like to see, expressing hope that the team will at some point add support.
"The game won't be supported on the Steam Deck at launch. I have one though and want this as much as you! Hopefully we can get to this in the future." — Lewis Harvey, Executive Producer - Wild Hearts
The game sees you use "ancient tech to hunt down giant beasts", and is described as "a unique twist on the hunting genre where technology gives you a fighting chance against fearsome beasts". Wild Hearts can be played solo, or in online, cross-platform co-op.
The dev team AMA featured plenty of other interesting tidbits about the upcoming game, including plans for free post-launch content, details of an upcoming ten hour trial for EA Play members, and plenty of information on all the monsters you'll be going up against once the game arrives.
