The Steam Deck goes on sale in Australia today, starting at $649 AUD.
Good news for those of you down under — Valve's Steam Deck is now finally available to buy in Australia.
The handheld first launched some two plus years ago, but during that time the portable PC has only been made available in select markets (such as the US, Europe, and select Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea) — today Australia is added to that slow-growing list.
Valve's popular device (which you can wishlist right here) is set to go on sale today (Tuesday, November 19th) at 10am AEDT sharp . In a post shared on the official Steam Deck X account Valve noted that Australian orders will also start shipping on the very same day — so if you've been holding out for an official way to get hold of the handheld PC, the wait is now over, and with same day dispatch you shouldn't have to wait long.
Of course, being so close to Christmas it's also a rather awesome gift for any gaming enthusiast in your life.
The device is available starting at $649 AUD. That will snag you the 256GB LCD base model. Here's the full three-model Aussie line-up:
- 256GB LCD — $649
- 512GB OLED — $899
- 1TB OLED — $1049
