Shovel Knight: Dig will land on Steam in September

Shovel Knight: Dig will land on Steam in September

The fantastic Shovel Knight series is set to continue on September 23rd, when Shovel Knight: Dig will release on Steam. (and Nintendo Switch and Apple Arcade, but we're not here for that!)

From the official announcement:

When Drill Knight and his dastardly digging crew blast apart Shovel Knight’s peaceful campsite and steal his loot, he grabs his trusty Shovel Blade and starts tunnelling after them!

Meet new friends and foes, visit strange lands, and outfit yourself in your quest to keep the entire land from collapsing underfoot! Jump, slash, and dig your way down an ever-changing chasm of mystery in Shovel Knight Dig, an all-new Shovel Knight adventure!

It seems Shovel Knight: Dig will feature gameplay similar to Downwell and SteamWorld Dig, with the goal to reach the bottom of an ever-changing vertical map.

The Steam Store page is currently not live, but the game will cost $24.99 and come with a free soundtrack if bought through Steam.

Pick up the remaining entries of the Shovel Knight franchise, they are fantastic and should run flawlessly on Steam Deck.
