Proton 9.0, the compatibility layer for SteamOS, is now available in public beta, fixing support for games like Final Fantasy XIV and Savant - Ascent REMIX.
Proton 9.0, the compatibility layer that makes Windows games run on Linux-based operating systems (and the secret sauce that makes the Steam Deck great), is now available in a public beta.
Developed by Valve in collaboration with Codeweavers, the first beta of version 9.0 brings compatibility with many new games while fixing support for even more.

To install the public beta, all you have to do is head to your Steam Deck, click on the little magnifying glass icon, and search for Proton 9. Though, in my case, the beta installed automatically.
