Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown for Nintendo Switch

Here's what games are coming to the Nintendo eShop this week, including a new take on Prince of Persia, and a refreshed take on the Another Code games.

๐Ÿ› Monday, January 15 โ€” Sunday, January 21

It's been a quiet few weeks on the eShop, but things really ramp up this week. There's over 25 games coming the Nintendo Switch over the next seven days, including a fair few highlights.

The full list below tells you what you need to know about each game, and there's a link to more information should you want it. The big releases this week? I like the look of the new Prince of Persia game from Ubisoft, the DS-era Another Code games getting a new lease of life on Switch, and the new Turnip Boy adventure โ€” this time he's robbing a bank.

The list below is ready for you to check out, so let's get to it.

Monday, January 15

  • Farm Knight Adventures โ€” This is a pretty simple looking 3D fantasy farming sim with some RPG elements. (Already available in U.S.)
  • Legend of Grimrock โ€” Fantasy-themed dungeon crawling role playing game with an "oldschool heart but a modern execution".
  • Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1 โ€” A horror puzzle adventure game set in an abandoned toy factory. (Already available in U.S.)

Wednesday, January 17

Thursday, January 18

  • Choo-Choo Charles โ€” Open-world island adventure in which a horrid spider / train combo is out to get you. It's a no from me.
  • Detective: Stella Porta Case โ€” A "dark and macabre" detective game with three cases to solve. M for mature.
  • DreadOut 2 โ€” Third-person horror adventure that claims to draw inspiration from "Indonesian urban legend". M for mature.
  • Easy Dice for RPG/Tabletop โ€” A dice app to use with IRL board games.
  • Found It! โ€” Odd one out brain teasers. (Already available in U.S.)
  • Hero of Fate โ€” A fantasy-themed 'Survivor'-like game with multiplayer. (EU release date)
  • Knights of Grayfang โ€” A 2D vampire RPG.
  • ๐Ÿ“ฆ๐ŸŽฎ Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown โ€” Looks like Ubisoft may have a Metroidvania hit on their hands here. (Physical release)
  • ๐ŸŽฎ Reef Escape โ€” Side-scrolling precision platforming adventure featuring an underwater worm.
  • Room of Depression โ€” An adventure game that claims to be designed to offer up an understanding on "how to deal with people with depression". (EU release date)
  • Super Sean 007 โ€” 2D platformer. Has nothing to do with a spy.
  • Tenement โ€” Frantic 2D arena shooter (vs bots). (EU release date)
  • The Cub โ€” An interesting looking 2D platformer inspired by 90s SEGA platforming hits, but with modern ideas, style, and... parkour.
  • ๐ŸŽฎ The Pedestrian โ€” Test your powers of observation in this unique puzzle game that takes places across public road signs.
  • Vigour โ€” 30-level puzzle platformer.
  • Witch Rise โ€” A 3D first-person magic-themed shooter. I like the 2D sprite work here.

Friday, January 19

  • ๐Ÿ“ฆ๐ŸŽฎ Another Code: Recollection โ€” A bundle of two DS-era mystery adventures โ€” one of which has not been released stateside before. Plenty of neat puzzling here too. Game voucher eligible. (Physical release)
  • Death Motel โ€” Budget-priced, first-person horror mystery set in a motel. M for mature.
  • Tennis 2024 Simulator โ€” Budget 3D Tennis game.

That's it for this week! Does anything here catch your eye? Anything getting added to the watch list?

All of the dates listed above are EU and US unless noted. A ๐Ÿ“ฆ box emoji means a physical release is also available. A ๐ŸŽฎ controller emoji means there is a demo available on the eShop.
