The Core 2 Duo and Core Time 2 are available to preorder now.
Before the Apple Watch was a thing, Pebble attempted to bring some smarts to the wrist. It found a fairly decent following, offering up a customisable, open vision as to what a tiny wrist computer could be.
Of course, as with many cool projects, it got acquired — by Fitbit, who in turn, got bought out by Google.
Anyway, after eight years Pebble's back — free from the shackles of the search giant, ready to give things another go with the now open-source PebbleOS. They've got two new smartwatches on the way, namely the Core 2 Duo and the Core Time 2.

The Core 2 Duo has a black and white display and costs $149. It will be shipping first this summer in July.

The second new watch, the Core Time 2, is the more premium option, sporting a metal frame and a 64-colour display. However that one, priced at $225, isn't due to start shipping until December.
Both can be pre-ordered now — however, a word of warning, these things are going to be limited on Apple's iOS in terms of what they can functionally do.
