overkill now covers more of what we love: tech, toys, collectibles, and other hobbies that are a bit, well, …overkill.
overkill has always been about celebrating the things that make us geek out. Whether that’s a handheld device, a cool piece of tech, or a toy that hits just right. Up until now, you might’ve known us mostly for covering portable gaming, but let’s face it: our passions (and yours) don’t stop there. So, we’re expanding.
From now on, you’ll see us dive deeper into tech, toys, and other hobbies that are, well, a bit overkill, but in the best way possible. We’re talking about collectibles, trading card games (you know I never shut up about Magic: The Gathering), gadgets that make you double-take, and everything in between. If it sparks curiosity, lights up that inner kid, or just feels like something worth obsessing over, it has a place right here.
Our style isn’t changing: expect the same espresso-fueled commentary, honest takes, and deep dives into the things we actually care about. No fluff, no press release parroting. Just real thoughts from people who live this stuff. We experiment, we get opinionated (sometimes very), and most of all, we have fun doing it.
As part of this shift, the overkill digest newsletter has been renamed to overkill Gaming. It’ll continue to focus on gaming, with the occasional quick link to things elsewhere that catches our eye.
If you’re someone who geeks out over their desk setup, hunts down the perfect gadget, or can’t resist adding just one more collectible to the shelf, we’re here for you. Stick around — it’s about to get even more overkill.
