🔗 Nintendo sold 3.5 million Switch 2 units
That's a lot of Switch 2s.
Nintendo announced that its new game system, Nintendo Switch 2, sold over 3.5 million units worldwide in the four days following its release on June 5, 2025. This is the highest global sales level for any Nintendo hardware within the first four days.
That's a lot of Switch 2s, making it the fastest selling home console in history.
To put this into perspective (via Daniel Ahmad), the PS4 took two weeks to sell 2.1 million units, the PS5 sold 4.4 million units in seven weeks.
So, it definitely looks like naming it the Switch 2 was the correct step.
