No Nintendo ninjas here, just some bug fixing.

A recently launched companion app for Mario Kart World disappeared from Apple's App Store shortly after making its debut — however, it's no cause for concern as we're told it will be back soon.

Last week, developer Jeffrey Kuiken released 'MK World Travel Guide' a handy iOS and iPad app for hunting down the locations of P Switches, Medallions, and more in Nintendo's Switch 2 exclusive, Mario Kart World.

The free App Store app has been designed to help you easily check off the various in-game locations that you've visited / completed. Complete with a map of the vast open world, it looked to be a handy companion for anyone looking to 100% the Mushroom Kingdom racing hit. In addition to the free download, the app also featured a reasonable in-app purchase as a way to save your progress and as a way to show support to the solo developers' efforts.

However, just a few short days after launch, the app was no longer available on the store, with some speculating that Nintendo may have taken action to have the app removed.

overkill reached out to developer Kuiken for comment, and we're pleased to report that the helpful app will be making a return. Kuiken clarified that the app is currently unavailable due to some bug fixing, and that once the issues have been resolved the app will be available to download once more.

"The app remains available for those who already downloaded it, but it's unavailable for new users for the time being"

We'll be sure to update you once the app is back on the store.
