Alright, let’s dive into this week’s newsletter. (It was a slow week, though. I think everyone is still recovering from the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement — which Chris wants to know your thoughts on BTW.)
🚀 Big Moves
- Razer PC Remote Play officially launches. I still need to test this out, but Razer is a big enough player that I believe this to be a good step for the community. Especially since Nvidia decided to not support their own streaming software any more. Razer's PC Remote Play is based on Moonlight, and they published their source code to GitHub.
🎮 Platform Updates
- There's an Xbox Games Showcase in June. It will be followed by an The Outer Worlds 2 showcase. Expect more news on whatever is next for Call of Duty, maybe something about any DLC-content for Doom: The Dark Ages, but probably nothing about the delayed Fable. The Oblivion Remaster better launch before that, though!
💻 Hardware & Software
- You can now preorder the Framework Laptop 12. I'm a fan of Framework. While I personally use a Mac to get my work done, a Framework laptop would probably be what I'd get if I ever decide to leave the Apple ecosystem. Preorders are now also open in the US.
- Russ reviews the Retroid Pocket Flip 2. Spoiler: He likes it.
🎲 Playthings
- Bungie's Marathon is a real thing. Here's the reveal trailer, linked is the Gameplay Trailer. I love what this looks like, but already know I'll totally suck at it. So... overkill Squad anyone?
- Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming to the original Switch, too. That is, if this game ever sees the late of day.

- The WaterField Shinjuku Tote is kinda sick. I’m a fan of WaterField products, and while I’m not hipster enough anymore (been years since I cut off my manbun) to run around with a tote, I still like this bag.
- The State of Switch Survey for 2025 wants to know what you think of the Switch 2 (and the original too of course).
- No Trump's tech tariff turnaround won't help the Switch 2.
- Polygon's list of 20 best games on PC is trash. No Baldur's Gate 3, no Binding of Isaac or Hades, no Skyrim, but Honkai: Star Rail? I'm sorry, but what the fuck?
