AYANEO teased their new Remake Line-Up, including a Game Boy-inspired handheld, a new Retro PC and more.
AYANEO is a company we all know and love as makers of handheld gaming devices. Many of us, especially in this sphere, have used an AYANEO device at some point, and they are much-beloved for being high-quality but also looking good. But now, the company has just announced a slew of things that'll likely make them even more popular, including a step away from handheld gaming.
Within a big old article discussing the new AYANEO REMAKE concept is the AYANEO Retro Mini PC AM01. This is a new line of products for AYANEO that " leverages the latest technology to recreate and reconstruct the experiences of numerous classic products, bearing the name "Retro Mini PC." Basically, it's a really cute-looking mini PC line that looks delightfully old-school but is packed with modern power.
You'll be able to configure it a bit to your tastes and needs, but we love the idea. The AYANEO Retro Mini PC AM01 will be released in mid to late November, and there's also an AYANEO Retro Mini PC AM02 coming at some point, too.
Along with that is something a little more familiar: another handheld. The AYANEO Pocket DMG is a new retro handheld console in the REMAKE concept line. It's described as "taking inspiration from the legendary vertical handheld consoles, it marks a return to the roots of handheld gaming aspirations." We think that means it will be Game Boy-inspired, but we could be wrong.
They only share a couple of images in the article, and the details are pretty scant, but we're still very much interested in seeing what will come of it when a proper release date is announced, along with actually getting the chance to play the thing when it launches. There are a few other things in the line, including a power bank, so check out the full article if you want to see some pretty pictures.
