Q-Games has a cute cooperative multiplayer game for you.
Q-Games, the Japanese studio behind such titles as The Tomorrow Children, PixelJunk Eden, StarFox 64 3D, and personal favourite PixelJunk Monsters — has a new cooperative multiplayer game that's available right now.
Initially announced back in April, 'All You Need is Help' is a rather cute looking, quirky collaborative experience about solving grid-based puzzles with pals.
From the off it looks somewhat like a crafty mix of Tetris meets Overcooked — which may sound odd, but once you see the game in action the comparison will no doubt be clear: you play as one of a cast of fluffy, cube-shaped creatures, and you have to jostle around the map to help complete puzzles and various challenges.
Oh, and enjoy the song too:
The interesting thing about these cube characters is that they cannot rotate, so you'll need to use the environment, or your shapely pals to help nudge you into shape. Although pretty chill looking, it's the sorta thing that could easily turn into cheerful chaos I reckon.
Anyway, the multiplayer game is available on Steam now, and is set to land on the Nintendo Switch and other consoles later this week. It supports both local co-op, or online — or even a mix of the two. A good one to play with family and friends over the holidays perhaps?
