🔗 Does Doom: The Dark Ages run on Steam Deck? [Update]
Valve released a fix, and Doom: The Dark Ages now runs on Valve's handheld PC.
Update: A new SteamOS beta released today fixes the bug mentioned below, and so Doom: The Dark Ages finally launches on Steam Deck.
Original Story: Doom: The Dark Ages launches on May 15th.
But today the embargo lifted, and while we are hoping for an update, as of right now, the game does not work on Steam Deck.
This might also explain why the Verified Status for Steam Deck is currently still at "Unknown".

DOOM: The Dark Ages is the prequel to the critically acclaimed DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal that tells an epic cinematic story of the DOOM Slayer’s rage. Players will step into the blood-stained boots of the DOOM Slayer, in this never-before-seen dark and sinister medieval war against Hell.
There are still 6 days left, so technically more than enough time for id Software to fix the game, but if you were planning to run the game on Valve's handheld, maybe wait a little and don't preorder the game for now.
